understand that i have tried and owned both consoles, but the lack on the ps3 is so sub-par that i returned my ps3 in the first couple of days and as such this is why i believe this.
i understand that the ps3 is constantly getting updates but all theese updates are months behind the 360, i heaqr your getting a much looked forward to update where which you can listen to mp3s during your games, we (the 360 community) have had this since release.

Halo 3 - though in my oppinnion not as good as halo 2 was still a much more impressive FPS for example Resistance fall of man
Viva Pinata - though yes a childish game, its relaxing and also incredibly addictive, as playing for what seems ten minutes, is actually 4 hours if play
Dead rising - your insane for even saying this game is bad, there is nothing wrong with this game at all, especially for a release date game
Forza motorsport - Probably one of the best racing games of its genre, the amount of customisation and online capabilities is incredible, this is a fun and adreniline pumping game. Gran turismo on the other hand is an awful repetetive game which givesd no changes in the driving and racing genre, the game is incredibly repetetive and gets boring fast, forza changes the perspective adding something new to every tmie you play it.
Mass effect - though slightly disapointing, was still a fun and a deep story line which compelled you to play more, i dont understand why you would say it lags however, ive played it hundreds of times and no lag has ever occurred.
You also say EVERY game stutters and hickups? where? when? i never see any problems barring lag which happens online, which is to be expected to any online game. If any problems do occur however, microsoft within a matter of days, so i dont see any problems which your saying.

lol, dat last comment really laid it out there, which one is cheaper! lol! ive had both consoles, 360 first, then ps3 several months later, sold my 360 shortly after getting my ps3 because the more i messed around with it, the more i realized how much better it is! how many times do you have to press the buttons just to listen to your music?? 5...6 times??? can't store my pictures in it either, ps3 can! 360 visuals(when playing music) fairly the same thing, see that typt all over! ps3 visuals (when playing music) are completely different, especially in the latest update, absolutely astonishing! adam says the hd graphics aren't any different?? that's juss cus yer blind, i've played GoW in both 480i and 1080i (or was it 720p??), and i couldn't see any difference in visuals. BUT, i've played T.E.S. 4: Oblivian (ps3) first at 480i (standard t.v.) and thought the graphics were o.k.! then i connected it to my hdtv at 720p HUGE DIFFERENCE IN VISUALS! i couldn't believe at how vivid the picture was! you think gt 5 is repetetive? obviously you haven't tried the demo! i gaurantee when it comes out, EVERY1 will be drifting in online races! which is a little hard to do on forza 1 or 2! i've tried! forza 2 is just forza 1 with better graphics! SAME DAMM GAME! he likes to think R:FoM is cheap? play it co-op on superhuman! it's amazing at how much action the ps3 will dish out before the minor lag shows up! all the ps3 owners should know what i'm talking about there! it takes alot! and now there's talk about ms releasing a Blu-Ray add-on! lol!

ps3 high definition can only be truly seen with a hdmi cable too. i run my computer on high def through the same tv with component cables, and the picture quality of my ps3 is far better.
i didn't actually know abou the blu-ray add-on for the xbox until anon pointed it out. it's not surprising, especially after disney and warner brothers swung their weight to blu-ray. that's 80% of the high definition media market in sony's favor now (and don't think apple is going to side with microsoft's hd-dvd either) lol. let's face the it, gates cornered the pc market with windows (and i thank him for that), but xbox gamers are paying the price now for his hd-dvd misadventure.

Why did M$ have to unleash the XBox360 Elite? It's because of Sony's PS3. Like one said, you have to spend more money to make the Xbox as capable as PS3. HD-DVD player, Wi-fi adaptor, rechargeable battery pack for wireless controller and a stupid Xbox HDD. For Xbox hard drives however, yes they're easier to install but then you cannot buy other brands. For PS3, you can get 400Gbs from any HDD manufacture. Since PS3 uses a laptop hard drives you can buy either Samsung, Toshiba, Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital and more! Can you do that to XBox 360??
I've expected Xbox 360 and even Windows Vista to have problems. Not surprised about that since the first launch of Windows 95, Win 98, Win XP and off course the first original Xbox. Because of such failures, I don't trust M$.
Ok, I've seen the graphics comparison. Admit ably, 360 beats PS3 on Oblivion IV both on 720p. Even if Xbox360 is miles better, it'll not persuade me to get one.
I've owned the Original PS1 as well as PS2 and neither of them have a single failure in my life. Could the first Xbox do that? Like the 360 the original scratched DVDs and its hard drive was buggered. Also for European consoles including Australian and New Zealand versions, there were PAL format failure. If you got NTSC versions, you're lucky.
I've been playing Enchanted Arms and one of the map is HUGE!! It's thanks to the Blu-ray. You don't need B-ray now but you'll need them in a few years time just like DVDs. You'll probably think 50Gb is huge but trust me we thought 4.7Gb DVD was huge too back in those days. How come each movie series have 4 - 8 dual layer DVDs now??
So 360 fans can you afford to have breakdowns? Do you think you can persuade me to have the 360 if it breaks down so easily.
As a car maniac, an Xbox 360 is more like a Ford GT which have lots of grunt as well as bells and whistles but it breaks down so easily. Playstation 3 however is pretty much like a Honda S2000 (in terms of reliability) which have a high output 2 litre engine 177KW (around 250hp) but yet the engine doesn't bugger itself. Both PS1 and PS2 also fit in this description.
Bugger you Xbox fans, bugger M$ and bugger the 360. Would've got myself 360 if M$ didn't repeat such histories. PS3 and Blu-ray all the way. BTW you can possibly download HD movies but would you? You'll need ridiculously expensive internet plans for a start and also ridiculously big and reliable HDD. You'll probably best to have an equivalent CPU like Cell processor (PS3's CPU) which is made by Sony, Toshiba and IBM. In other words I prefer to have HD movies on BD. If a disc corrupts, I can buy another title, if a HDD breaks down, it may take days, months or even years to recover one's HD contents.
If you don't know what I'm saying 360 fans, why don't you stick to it and if you want to have HD movies, go ahead the get the hard drive and see for yourself. Observation and experience are the best over what's written. If your 360 doesn't break down, GOOD! If it does however, then I'm not getting any M$ gaming consoles for the rest of my life.
They're for my personal amusement rather than being total anti M$ as I have lots of respect of Bill Gates cause he donates lots to charities even most of his wealth.
So Adam, bubbie524828 and ?, am I being totally unfair to any Xboxes? (and you as well?) Unfortunately 360 console owners experienced such failures epecially just outside the warranty. Is that fair?? Don't you get agitated if that happens?? You probably wouldn't cause 1. Your parents paid for the console, 2. You're big spender or 3. you're a big fanboy and would do anything for M$.
Talking about variety of games for PS3, yes there isn't as many in comparison to the 360 but then back in the time when Nintendo Gamecube was launched after the original Xbox and PS2, the Gamecube didn't have many games either. Did Nintendo give up? Off course not!! If Nintendo can pull things off, so can Sony. I'm very sure there'll be lots of games for PS3 as Japanese can transform their weakness into strength. Japanese appliances, cars, electronics and others have overcome their weakness. But then some didn't make it.
In the meantime, I'm not getting the Xbox 360. I'm aware that I'm in the PS3 fan site but I don't mind getting a Wii as well (over the Xbox anyday). For my fellow PS3 fans, I love my PS3 and will continue to make the best use of it. Heck I've been watching Casino Royal in Blu-ray and it's fantastic!! Or shall I say the quality is phenomenal even on 1080i resolution!!
Also in the meantime I'll have the Ring Ring of Fire theme into my PS3. Ha! ha! ha! How childish of me!! But then failure happens but not on a great scale for any highly priced consoles.
This is Living!! Long live the PS3! Geeezzz I'm childish again. If Microsoft wants to persuade more console buyers including myself, they need to offer a better overall package including reliability or otherwise I'm with the PS3 no matter what. Well back to my PS3, truly versitile console, the real next gen multi entertainment console :). Why does the Xbox 360 have an opening trays and an old fashioned push button the console?? PS3 has a new touch button and a new generation disc slot.
That's why Sony's PS3 owns and Microsoft's Xbox 360 is falling behind but it doesn't sucks nor it's the worst. All consoles have room for improvements but I reckon the PS3 sets the benchmark. Pricey yes but loaded with features like no other.

Some people have PS3 & Xbox 360, why? for save money. Some game like Assassin Creed it's not necessary have it original, have a 360 save you money, but it's necessary have a PS3 because not all the games come it out for the 360.

Halo 3 - though in my oppinnion not as good as halo 2 was still a much more impressive FPS for example Resistance fall of man
Viva Pinata - though yes a childish game, its relaxing and also incredibly addictive, as playing for what seems ten minutes, is actually 4 hours if play
Dead rising - your insane for even saying this game is bad, there is nothing wrong with this game at all, especially for a release date game
Forza motorsport - Probably one of the best racing games of its genre, the amount of customisation and online capabilities is incredible, this is a fun and adreniline pumping game. Gran turismo on the other hand is an awful repetetive game which givesd no changes in the driving and racing genre, the game is incredibly repetetive and gets boring fast, forza changes the perspective adding something new to every tmie you play it.
Mass effect - though slightly disapointing, was still a fun and a deep story line which compelled you to play more, i dont understand why you would say it lags however, ive played it hundreds of times and no lag has ever occurred.
You also say EVERY game stutters and hickups? where? when? i never see any problems barring lag which happens online, which is to be expected to any online game. If any problems do occur however, microsoft within a matter of days, so i dont see any problems which your saying.

Both consoles are practically the same but 1 has a wank controller, shit online also a needless blu ray player, unless u want to pay an extra £20 per disc. adam says the hd graphics aren't any different?? that's juss cus yer blind, i've played GoW in both 480i and 1080i (or was it 720p??), and i couldn't see any difference in visuals. BUT, i've played T.E.S. 4: Oblivian (ps3) first at 480i (standard t.v.) and thought the graphics were o.k.! then i connected it to my hdtv at 720p HUGE DIFFERENCE IN VISUALS! i couldn't believe at how vivid the picture was!
you think gt 5 is repetetive? obviously you haven't tried the demo! i gaurantee when it comes out, EVERY1 will be drifting in online races! which is a little hard to do on forza 1 or 2! i've tried! forza 2 is just forza 1 with better graphics! SAME DAMM GAME!

i didn't actually know abou the blu-ray add-on for the xbox until anon pointed it out. it's not surprising, especially after disney and warner brothers swung their weight to blu-ray. that's 80% of the high definition media market in sony's favor now (and don't think apple is going to side with microsoft's hd-dvd either) lol. let's face the it, gates cornered the pc market with windows (and i thank him for that), but xbox gamers are paying the price now for his hd-dvd misadventure.
Why did M$ have to unleash the XBox360 Elite? It's because of Sony's PS3. Like one said, you have to spend more money to make the Xbox as capable as PS3. HD-DVD player, Wi-fi adaptor, rechargeable battery pack for wireless controller and a stupid Xbox HDD. For Xbox hard drives however, yes they're easier to install but then you cannot buy other brands. For PS3, you can get 400Gbs from any HDD manufacture. Since PS3 uses a laptop hard drives you can buy either Samsung, Toshiba, Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital and more! Can you do that to XBox 360??
I've expected Xbox 360 and even Windows Vista to have problems. Not surprised about that since the first launch of Windows 95, Win 98, Win XP and off course the first original Xbox. Because of such failures, I don't trust M$.
Ok, I've seen the graphics comparison. Admit ably, 360 beats PS3 on Oblivion IV both on 720p. Even if Xbox360 is miles better, it'll not persuade me to get one.
I've owned the Original PS1 as well as PS2 and neither of them have a single failure in my life. Could the first Xbox do that? Like the 360 the original scratched DVDs and its hard drive was buggered. Also for European consoles including Australian and New Zealand versions, there were PAL format failure. If you got NTSC versions, you're lucky.
I've been playing Enchanted Arms and one of the map is HUGE!! It's thanks to the Blu-ray. You don't need B-ray now but you'll need them in a few years time just like DVDs. You'll probably think 50Gb is huge but trust me we thought 4.7Gb DVD was huge too back in those days. How come each movie series have 4 - 8 dual layer DVDs now??
So 360 fans can you afford to have breakdowns? Do you think you can persuade me to have the 360 if it breaks down so easily.
As a car maniac, an Xbox 360 is more like a Ford GT which have lots of grunt as well as bells and whistles but it breaks down so easily. Playstation 3 however is pretty much like a Honda S2000 (in terms of reliability) which have a high output 2 litre engine 177KW (around 250hp) but yet the engine doesn't bugger itself. Both PS1 and PS2 also fit in this description.
Bugger you Xbox fans, bugger M$ and bugger the 360. Would've got myself 360 if M$ didn't repeat such histories. PS3 and Blu-ray all the way. BTW you can possibly download HD movies but would you? You'll need ridiculously expensive internet plans for a start and also ridiculously big and reliable HDD. You'll probably best to have an equivalent CPU like Cell processor (PS3's CPU) which is made by Sony, Toshiba and IBM. In other words I prefer to have HD movies on BD. If a disc corrupts, I can buy another title, if a HDD breaks down, it may take days, months or even years to recover one's HD contents.
If you don't know what I'm saying 360 fans, why don't you stick to it and if you want to have HD movies, go ahead the get the hard drive and see for yourself. Observation and experience are the best over what's written. If your 360 doesn't break down, GOOD! If it does however, then I'm not getting any M$ gaming consoles for the rest of my life.

Talking about variety of games for PS3, yes there isn't as many in comparison to the 360 but then back in the time when Nintendo Gamecube was launched after the original Xbox and PS2, the Gamecube didn't have many games either. Did Nintendo give up? Off course not!! If Nintendo can pull things off, so can Sony. I'm very sure there'll be lots of games for PS3 as Japanese can transform their weakness into strength. Japanese appliances, cars, electronics and others have overcome their weakness. But then some didn't make it.
In the meantime, I'm not getting the Xbox 360. I'm aware that I'm in the PS3 fan site but I don't mind getting a Wii as well (over the Xbox anyday). For my fellow PS3 fans, I love my PS3 and will continue to make the best use of it. Heck I've been watching Casino Royal in Blu-ray and it's fantastic!! Or shall I say the quality is phenomenal even on 1080i resolution!!
Also in the meantime I'll have the Ring Ring of Fire theme into my PS3. Ha! ha! ha! How childish of me!! But then failure happens but not on a great scale for any highly priced consoles.

Of course one is going to be better than the other..who cares. Its just like a PC, theres always going to be a better one out there, but as long as you have the one you PREFER, its fine.
Some people have PS3 & Xbox 360, why? for save money. Some game like Assassin Creed it's not necessary have it original, have a 360 save you money, but it's necessary have a PS3 because not all the games come it out for the 360.
The exclusives of the 360 are sh!t.. but some games of the PS3 are multiplatform, so is not bad idea have a 360 if you want save some money...
